Down Syndrome Awareness Butterfly

J SAM

Normally I just delete such comments but today I feel I should respond. Adopting a child has nothing to do with affording it. It has all to do with our children whom were abandon at birth. Who spend their lives in cribs, if they are lucky they may survive. It has all to do with being blessed by the grace of God to step forward in faith to rescue these babies. I am not going to take the time to explain the path the Lord has laid ahead of me but I am so curious to know why you think that you would know the signs the Lord has sent me. Have we had a personal conversation in the past? Do I know you? I am so sorry if I have forgotten but I am sure I don't. I am sure the Lord has not spoken to you about me. How do I know that? Because if He had then you would know that HE commands all of us to care for the orphans. No He does not call us all to adopt but those He does you will be sure He will provide All!! I am not offended by you comment just curious about a person whom has the time to read my blog and bother making a statement that has no Godly truth. Claim your a believer? You have shown nothing to me that says you are. Just someone who is has nothing better to do. Comments are welcome but I won't post them and I will not loose a wink of sleep. Thanks J Sam for your judgment but you can keep it to yourself, I already have someone to judge me. Oh and by the way it is the same God who will judge you and your heart. Have a blessed night. Next time please leave your email I am not going to bother posting my response on my blog anymore.

Taking a break

I am taking a break on this blog until we make our second trip. I have posted all the videos I can and all our photos. I will be for now on our other blog Two Lives One Journey. Thanks for following and please continue to pray that we gain favor with the judge, she is one tough cookie.

Part II Feel the Power Be a Witness

I love the names of God and as of recently I am looking into what they are and what they mean. You will find them sprinkled around this post. enjoy!
With the Author of my life beside my side this is the most amazing journey I have been on. Have you been part of this? Have you seen his power? Well, I am a witness to it all and  I will share and recap with you this amazing journey. Just to start have you missed we are adopting two beautiful children with Down Syndrome. Not one but two! How does that happen? I will tell you how, by the power of ELOHIM......Genesis 1:1, Psalm 19:1 meaning "God", a reference to God's power and might.
A year ago He told me that we would raise all the money we need. All of it!! $48,000 later I am believing we will raise the last $5000 just as he said. Can you see the love through how he provides? JEHOVAH-JIREH.........Genesis 22:13-14 meaning "The Lord will provide"
He said there would be two little ones. I ran scared for a bit but look what happened..... Two little angles are coming home soon! Even as I ran away He was always there waiting.  All in the name of JEHOVAH-SHAMMAH.......Ezekiel 48:35 meaning "The Lord who is present"
From the moment I said yes to Christ in 2001 he has never left my side. I have disappointed my self but never has He disappointed me. I have sat asking "Where are you" but He has never asked where I am, He knows at all times. He has a way with making plans for our lives and we least expect it He springs them into motion. Who knew 13 months ago we would be here now? I can say that I didn't and I know for a fact my husband didn't know it either. We are so blessed by our obedience to the Lord and although this has been very hard I wouldn't change a thing.

Just in case you didn't know our babies will be here soon :) Soon they will be tucked in their beds after a long day of being with those who love them. I know there will be days when I drop in bed and ask myself "what did I get myself into?" but I also know there won't be a day that goes by and think to myself how could anyone let them go. Especially when I see photos of children who are not so lucky. When I see little girl like Liliana. She is 11 and weighs just 10 lbs. She has waited 11 years for someone to love her and rescue her. The ransom is high but could you ever put a price on a child's soul?

I will forever fight for these children. I will always pray that each one of you will step up and help in some way. I have said it before, we all have a responsibility to do something. Help a family today. If not us find someone to help bring one of these children home. There are hundreds of families trying to bring them home and it cost thousands of dollars to pay their ransoms. Please decide today to make a difference in an orphans life. It truly could cost you a cup of coffee, a gallon of ice cream a week, a six pack a beer or even the Sunday paper each week. These things you could live without. They are not necessary and they are not a need to survive. You want to help. Ask me how. You don't want to help then be prepared when you stand before Christ to answer the question "How could you not?"
We are still in need of $5000 and there are hundreds of other families at www.reecesrainbow.org just click on Sponsor a Family at the top of site. Pray and find a family to help. Commit to a family, read their stories, watch them and pray for them through their long journey. Trust me it will change your life, it will show you the blessings you have in your own life. You will see that life isn't about you, its about loving and serving those around you. So what are you waiting for? Go now, find a family and help them bring their little one home! OR go find a precious child to bring home to your family. You know you want to, you know God has already choosen your child ;)
As always I thank you from the bottom of my heart. We will be forever grateful for all your prayers, support and donations.
Thanks for reading. I cherish every person who reads this with love in their heart.
May Abba bless All of you!

Feel the Power, Be a Witness Part I

Of Christ that is who I am posting about. Even if you don't believe in the power of Christ and maybe think we can't witness Him here on earth continue on and see for yourself.

Life is simply filled with private, personal battles. We have to battle fears and worries. Sometimes it seems that I  have to battle PEOPLE who APPEAR to be enemies, and I also have to battle MYSELF!

It is like having to fight a host of enemies -- all these troubles, these circumstances, these adverse conditions, these temptations! Today I declared out loud that I am giving up the battle. I no longer will put up the fight with Satan. Believe me I did not declare him with Victory I did it with a warning.
The Eternal Creator-Ruler of the universe -- the God who gives me the very air I breathe -- sent His own begotten Son, Jesus Christ, into this world over 2000 years ago to bring me THE WAY OF DELIVERANCE from all of my trials, my worries, my problems. I do not know why I don't listen to the way He taught us?  I am not sure if I forget that Jesus Christ is our living Savior and High Priest, just as the Creator is a living ruler of all the universe!
I love the fact that Jesus Christ, the living resurrected Christ, to whom is given ALL POWER, has a present mission to perform?  His present mission is to FIGHT MY BATTLES FOR ME -- to deliver ME -- to free me from all my fears, my troubles, and even the circumstances that hold me back.
Today it hit me! Why do I fight my own battles, when He-- the living Savior -- is living in all power to fight them for me?
He's real. He's divine. Why do I go on worrying, when He is right there in all the power of the divine Creator to free me from all me worries. I will tell you why. I have a trust issue with God and sometimes I have a hard time believing that I have through Christ an ALL-CONQUERING HELP that I can can have 24/7 and sometimes I  FAIL TO CALL ON that supernatural help in my times of need!

The one thing I do know and know i can count on is that God is a God of love -- that God in all His supreme power wills above all things for me to prosper, and be in health, and to find the way to the happy, full, abundant life? III John 2 Dear friend, I am praying that all is well with you and that your body is as healthy as I know your soul is.
John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
Jesus Christ is a LIVING SAVIOR, to whom I can go at all times -- a Savior to save me from my present everyday fears and worries, adverse circumstances, troubles, sicknesses, and trials,

To be continued.......

Nice to be Home

It is so nice to be home. Jason and I returned home on Sunday morning after a week in our babies country. Over all the week was good. The first few days were somewhat stressful try to get used to being in a country where we had no idea what anyone was saying around us. We had a fabulous facilitating team that took very good care of us. We didn't spend much time touring the area most of our time was spent doing business and visiting the babies. I can not even begin to explain the joy we had to finally be able to see them in the flesh. To finally hold them and tell them we love them was priceless, OK maybe not quite priceless but it was for sure worth every minute, tear and penny it took us to get to this point. The business end was pretty easy. We had a handful of appointments that were wrapped up on Thursday. From what we could tell there were not a lot who were thrilled we were there but for those of them who were made up for those who weren't. So a few details that I can share on this blog: we will not receive our court date until after September 29 (our judge is on holiday until Sept. 5), we officially named both of the kids but we will share that later, and we hope they will be home sometime in October or beginning of November.  Here are a few photos we can share and hopefully you are part of our private blog so you can see our sweet babies.  All of these photos were taken at Red Square. It was beautiful and I wish we would of had more time to look through all of these buildings but we were only in Moscow for a couple of hours on the first day.

Not created to be orphanans

Matvey was born on cold day December 15, 2008. He came into this world weighing 8.4 lbs, he was  20.9 inches long.  He was healthy and strong. His mommy and daddy planned his birth. They wanted him and loved him much and anticipated bringing another child in her family. His parents already had a daughter who was 14. They found out while they were pregnant with Matvey that he had Down Syndrome, they chose to continue the pregnancy and make a decision once he was born. After 6 weeks of having him home Matvey was taken to the orphanage. His parents ask if they would keep him and not let anyone adopt him while they thought of what to do. Matvey's father returned two times, his mother never returned to visit him. He was now abandon by the very people who were suppose to protect him and love him unconditionally. I can barely imagine the pain they must of went through. It was not until June 30, 2011 that they both signed off the final time for him to be adopted along with both of his grandparents. Boy are they missing out on a big blessing. Matthew was born with a whole in his heart but by February 2009 no heart condition was detected. The doctor has given Matvey a “short name” (nick name) it is pronounced Moita. He is very interactive with us. He watches everything we do and smiles when I sing to him. After 2.5 years in the orphanage with little attention and stimulation Matvey has not grown much. He only weighs 17.3 lbs. and is 29.5 inches long. He does sit independently, starts to crawl, and stand with support. We can not wait to get him home and watch him blossom to his potential.

As for our little little Varvara or Varya (her short name). Var rhymes with car so you say VAR VAR U to pronounce it. Unlike Matvey she was refused at birth. She was born on September 24, 2007 to a single mother who refused her and no sign of the father. Her mother was positive for Hep C but Varya was negative when check at one year of age. She was transferred to the hospital one month after she was born. It was her mothers 5th pregnancy, she had 2 abortions, one death of a baby and lost parental rights to Vara's older brother a year before she was born. Varya was born 38 weeks gestation weighing 6.7 lbs. and was 20.1 inches long. She also has an open oval in her heart (a hole) but no confirmation as of now. We will get that checked when she comes home. The orphanage here is very nice and take very good care of the children. They also shared her mile stones. 9 mths rolled back to side, 11 mths rolled front to back, 12 months crawled, 15 months she could sit on her own and at the grand age of 2.5 she was walking on her own. And now at almost 4 years of age she got to see her mommy and daddy for the fist time. She was held with and unconditional love, kissed, and hugged many many times.
We are blessed and can not wait to return to take them home forever to watch them grow and be whom God created them to be.
