She is Flawless

This passage is from a book entitled, The Clowns of God, by Morris West. In the book, a deposed pope has gone through many trials and tribulations and it is the time of the Second Coming. When he meets the Returned Christ, the former pope is afraid and unsure much like the apostles when Christ first arose. This passage takes place in a mountain hideaway where children from a school for Down Syndrome are among those present. The Returned Christ is speaking about one of these children as he holds her.

"I know what you are thinking. You need a sign. What better one could I give but to make this little one whole and new? I could do it; but I will not. I am the Lord and not a conjurer. I gave this mite a gift I denied to all of you--eternal innocence. To you she looks imperfect--but to me she is flawless, like the bud that dies unopened or the fledgling that falls from the nest to be devoured by ants. She will never offend me, as all of you have done. She will never pervert or destroy the work of my Father's hands. She is necessary to you. She will evoke the kindness that will keep you human. Her infirmity will prompt you to gratitude for your own good fortune... More! She will remind you every day that I am who I am, that my ways are not yours, and that the smallest dust mite whirled in the darkest spaces does not fall out of my hand... I have chosen you. You have not chosen me. This little one is my sign to you. Treasure her!"

Bitter Sweet Answered Prayer

So in the middle of all this I have peace. It's amazing when you are obedient to Christ how you can have peace in the middle of what seems a crisis. I've got to admit when I was first told we would have to choose one of the two babies my heart sank. I mean sank..... to very bottom of the pit. Then I turned my focus on Christ and there is where he reassured me that he was in control. My prayer last night was for an answer, an answer to a very hard heart wrenching decision. Do we proceed with the two babies AKA Barbara and Matthew (not their real names) or do we choose one. Hands down I knew who we would choose. Our sweet Baby B, she has a short time before she will be institutionalized and I can not bare the thought of her dieing alone in a cold crib with no one to hold her. The woman who started Reece's Rainbow "Andrea" returned an email this morning and said she thought committing to the two babies was a high risk. It was an answer to my prayer. I can not bare the thought of committing to a little prince who realistically we would not get. He needs a chance for a family if his own and if the EE Gov. is to ignorant to see we would love him and care for him then I will advocate for him. I will pray for his forever family. I will be praying for you. For the courage to step up and rescue a life worth saving. Here is sweet baby Matthew. He has down syndrome and will be two this December. Just think if you step forward you will get to travel to EE, where you will embrace your new son. Oh, you think I'm not talking to you? You might want to pray about that.

Lets Get the Facts Straight

I really hate to say this mess was due to a "he said", "she said", but it was. The fact is our adoption agency is putting pressure on our homestudy agency to sign a document that they are not comfortable signing. The document is a preapproval homestudy. It doesn't say we are approved to adopt but it says our social worker "thinks" she will approve us. In the whole mess the adoption agency asked what concerns our SW would have with us adopting the two babies, and what she "thought" she would talk to us about with our second visit. So our SW gave her some examples of things she "might" talk to us about. Our income, homeschooling and having two children with special needs, ect...ect...ect. These are just some of the things. When our adoption agency heard these issues(that aren't really issues)she made assumptions. Then to top it all off she matched our family profile with another family that starved their adoptive child, from there she proceded to jump on this idea that EE won't let us adopt two children because of this family and right away said we needed to pick just one of the children. Also she said that our social worker was probably not going to approve us for two, which was not true our social worker never said that sort of thing.
So as for now we will proceed with the adoption of the two babies. This may change if our social worker decides that it would be better if we just adopted one. The final decision is hers and I trust she will make the right decision. We will have to be prepared to pick one of the babies if we get to EE courts and the judge says we can only have one. Unfortunatally the family who starved their child could have a huge effect on our adoption. We will cross that bridge when we get there and for now will continue to trust God on this journey and trust he has walked before us on this path. Thank you for all your prayers and your continued support.

Their Fate.

This baby girls name is Olga. I would ask you to pray for her but it is to late for that. She died this week. I would ask you to pray for her family as they grieve the loss of this princess but no need she didn't have any.....she was a orphan. Olga was in need of prayer and love but she did not get that. She was an orphan in a country that gives no value to children like her. They don't care if she is alive or dead. She had no one to love her, hold her, Cherish her, or any of the things a princess deserves. She spent her life in an orphanage and at the ripe old age of four was transfer to an insane asylum where she only survived a few weeks. Praise God he took her home in just a short time of being there. Her starvation, neglect and abuse didn't last too long. Praise God she can be the princess He made her to be, now that she is in His hands. Although I know he never left her side I can not help but wonder if God had (adoptive)parents for Ogla but those (adoptive)parents had to much fear to step forward. Maybe they heard one to many times the negative remarks of family, friend, or even strangers to be strong enough to stand tall and fight for the life of this little girl. I tell you this I pledge I will will NEVER sit down, I will NEVER give up, and I will NEVER stop fighting for our two babies. They are blessing meant for our family, they are blessings born in our heart.
I don't know if those of you who read this realize that this is the fate of our two babies. This is the life they will look to if we do not RESCUE them from this fate. I am desperately seeking and asking for your love to help bring them home. We all have the responsibility to set these orphans free. You may not want to adopt but you can help those of us who are willing to bring them home.
If you are willing to help please go to www.rescuerussianbeauties.blogspot.com. There are a number of ways to help. $10 for 10 weeks is an affordable and best way you can help us. $10 is a small amount for us but for my babies it means their life

Beyond our four Walls

I recently read a blogger's blog on her thought about the bible. Partly it was humorous but mostly it was so true. Here are my thoughts on what opened my eyes to how we live. Sometimes truth can be hard to hear. But I believe along this journey God is opening up my eyes to what it really means to be the hands and feet of Jesus. To go beyond what we believe is contained in our four walls.
What if; when God ask Matthew, Mark or Luke to write the bible he actually meant write what you think I want it to say. In fact you can write what you want and we will let those people figure out what it means. It doesn't have to be exactly true as long as they get the point. And if they want to use it to fit into there own lives they can they can rearrange it to make it fit. What ever they are comfortable with because I don't want anyone to be uncomfortable with what I ask them to do. What if he change the rules along the way but the editor took the day off that day. What if it was suppose to read like this: You shall not worship any other God-well unless your god gives you what you want when you want, You shall not murder-well unless someone has *pissed* you off, You shall not steal-well unless no one sees you and they don't deserve it anyway. You get my drift. God did have a reason for these moral standards. He wasn't mistaken when he told Moses to write them down and tell the people. God means what he said and He did not change anything along the way. So I leave you with one last thought
James 1:27 Here are the kinds of beliefs that God our Father accepts as pure and without fault. When widows and children who have no parents are in trouble, take care of them. And keep yourselves from being polluted by the world.

So do you think that means only if it isn't to much of a burden? Only if you can afford to help? Only if it doesn't inconvenient you? What does it mean to you? I know exactly what it means to me. It's His perfect religion.

September Update

So we are moving along slowly in this process. Tomorrow I hope to get our copies made of our application and send it out to our adoption agency. I have appointments to make for our physicals and passports. After our passports are done I can send in our commitment application and love offering. This will put our two babies on hold for us. I have to file our I-600a and come to find out we have to file two; one for each child. That means we pay 670.00 twice and pay for our finger prints twice 80.00 for Jason and I. Did I mention TWICE! Trying to work on our fundraisers but keep hitting a brick wall with no non-profit tax number. We have only began and I feel frustrated AGAIN with this money thing. I refuse to let this stop us. I know God has this all planned out. It is his timing and I have to remember that.
On the plus side we officially ended our fundraiser sale yesterday and we brought in $2600.00. I met some amazing people. People were so generous and kind.
